Refunds and Exchanges Policy
Sale orders
Please note that orders placed during our BLACK FRIDAY SALE are strictly EXCHANGES ONLY, no refunds.
For all orders placed outside of Sale periods
If you change your mind, you have 14 days after receiving your order to contact us advising of your intent to return for a refund or exchange.
Items must be returned in the following condition to be eligible for a return:
- in their original condition
- unworn (tried on quickly is fine)
- unaltered with no scratches, marks on the leather or soles, and
- with all tags and packaging intact.
Please note that our shoes are soft and wearing for too long will stretch the leather and leave imprints of your foot shape. Therefore we suggest if a shoe is too small, not to wear it for a considering length of time when trying them on, otherwise we will not be able to accept it should you wish to return the shoes.
What items can be returned?
- Full-price items - in stock items can be returned for a refund, exchange or online store credit. Online store credit is valid for 3 years.
- Special discount codes - any full price purchase where a discount code (1st order welcome code, 2 for 15% off, Spring is here $30 off offer or Teachers Program code etc has been used) is eligible for a refund or exchange.
- Final Sale - no refunds or exchanges permitted on all final sale styles. This includes all 9th Birthday Sale purchases, 30% off for 3 Hours.
- Special circumstance - We are now accepting exchanges for Black Friday Sale purchases. No refunds but exchanges are permitted now. This is backdated to all orders placed during the sale. You have 14 days after receiving your order to contact us should you need an exchange.
It is the customers responsibility to be aware of the terms and conditions of sale prior to purchasing.
Please note that during our 9th Birthday Sale no returns or exchanges are permitted, therefore the Checkout+ option will not be an option.
Returning your full priced item for a return or exchange has never been easier.
1. Add Checkout+ to your cart
Petit Barcelona now offers at the checkout a reduced cost to return customer's orders for a refund or exchange. Simply click on the Checkout+ button in your cart. When it comes time to return for a refund or exchange, we will send you a return label for free.
This is available for Australian, US and Canadian customers at present. Other countries wanting to do a return please contact us at hola@petitbarcelona.com.
Choose not to add Checkout+ at the cart?
The customer will be responsible for full return shipping costs if they didn't opt into paying for 'free returns' upon purchase.
2. Returns Portal
To return your full priced items for an exchange or refund, head to our Returns Portal HERE or click on the button below.
If you have placed an order that you would like to cancel, please contact us within a few hours of placing the order for us to stop the shipping process. We will do our best to cancel the order before it has been shipped.
Charges
Please note if you have a change of mind and request to cancel your order you will incur a flat rate of AUD $10 per order, which covers the financial institution costs incurred to the business which are not refunded to us in the event you cancel your order prior to fulfilment. This amount will be taken out of your refund payout.
Refusal to accept an order
If a customer refuses to release an order at Customs in their country, and the parcel is therefore returned to Petit Barcelona, a restocking fee will be applied of AUD $30 to cover all financial and return shipping costs. It is the customers responsibility to check for delivery notifications from the local carrier via the tracking link provided.

Please note that some countries Customs can take up to 5 months to deliver a rejected parcel. We cannot refund the order until we receive the parcel back to our warehouse and it passes the refund inspection. Any damage to the parcel during transit will be the customers responsibilty.
Once a return has been requested and a label has been issued, the customer has 7 business days to send the parcel or have it collected by the courier.
If the parcel does not meet this timeframe, and the customer has not communicated with Petit Barcelona prior to a reason why it is later than the 7 business days, a store credit will be provided and not a refund.
Once your order has left our warehouse, it is the customers responsibility to ensure that they follow any communication (physical notes left when delivery attempts fail due to no one being home, insufficient or incorrect address details).
For USA customers, please use your tracking number provided to check the USPS tracking link here - which will provide more accurate information for your order once it has landed in the US.
Please contact your local carrier if you are unable to accept delivery of your order.
If the parcel after attempted delivery has failed, is returned to Petit Barcelona's warehouse, a restocking fee of AUD $30 will be charged with the refund of your order.
Please note that customs does not prioritise these return orders and can take up to 6 months for them to return the orders to our warehouse. We will then inspect the product for any damage and refund your order.
