Returns & Exchanges


You can make a return within 30 days after receiving your order, provided the following conditions are satisfied:

  • Must be in original condition  
  • Not have been worn, stretched or altered (without imprints or soiled soles)
  • Ensure they are packed the way they arrived in order for shoes to maintain their shape including with cardboard inserts and Authenticity tag. 

Petit Barcelona reserves the right to deny a return or exchange of goods if they do not meet the conditions outlined above.

Our leather is very delicate so please take care when trying on your shoes. If worn for a considerable amount of time, the leather will stretch to your foot shape. If stretched greatly, we will not be able to resell the shoe and therefore it will not qualify for a return. 

  • FULL PRICE: Refund or store credit available.
  • PROMO SALE/DISCOUNT (EOFY Sale): Exchange or store credit available. No refunds. 
  • OUTLET: Strictly NO returns, no refunds or exchanges.

Wanting a refund? 

Please email us at customerservice@petitbarcelona.com with the following information:

  • 5 digit Order Number #
  • Email address used to purchase the order
  • Shoe style, colour and size wanting to refund
  • Reason for refund
Once we receive the email, we will respond within 5 business days, as to the eligibility of your refund request and the address to send your shoes back to. 

Customers are responsible for the shipping costs to return the items to us in a safe way. We no longer run the ´First order, free returns and exchanges´ promotion. We recommend sending them via a reliable international courier or with Australia Post with registered tracking. We do not take responsibility for your returned parcel until we have received it. Once you have returned your parcel to us, we will process the refund into the same payment method as the item was purchased. Please note it takes between 5-7 business days for most refunds to be processed to your payment method.
For international orders, please note we do not cover the return cost of shipping your item back unless it is faulty. Please contact us at customerservice@petitbarcelona.com should you believe your items received are faulty so we can discuss the return of the product. 


Wanting an Exchange?

Petit Barcelona does not offer manual exchanges or holds for exchanges due to the high volume of sales on a daily basis and especially during peak periods.

If you would like to exchange your item, we highly recommend the following:

  • In-store at Camp Hill Boutique (if you purchase in-store),
  • or by requesting a refund by emailing us at customerservice@petitbarcelona.com (and follow the steps as per above). We will respond to your request as soon within 24 hours if not sooner.

To avoid disappointment of missing out on the shoe you would like exchanged, we recommend purchasing the shoe you would prefer online as a new order before receiving the refund for your original order. Due to delays in shipping and the volume of sales at this time this is the best and most efficient approach.

Once we receive the refund request and it meets the above criteria for a return, we will approve the return, and then refund you as soon as we receive the original shoes back. 


Store credit 

Store Credits are issued for the amount paid (less any discounts). Your credit will be emailed to you in the form of a digital Gift Card, once your return is processed.

Your store credit is valid for 3 years after date issued.  If you have misplaced the details of your store credit, contact us at customerservice@petitbarcelona.com and we can re-email it to you. 


Sale Items*

Refunds: If you have changed your mind, or the shoes are not for you, you can return your SALE order (excludes The Outlet)  for an exchange or for a gift card within the 30 days of receiving your items. The customer is responsible for the shipping costs to return the items. We do not refund via original payment method only gift card for sale items.

Exchange: We highly recommend that you request a refund for the original SALE items and purchase a new order of the SALE shoes you would like for an exchange. Due to high volume of sales and delayed shipping times, this is the most efficient way to secure the shoes you prefer. 

Store Credit: Store credits will be issued based on the amount paid for the product (less any discounts).

The Outlet Collection 

From time to time, we will move stock into our The Outlet Collection which will not be restocked in the future. This is end of line stock. Therefore there are strictly NO returns, refunds or exchanges permitted. Please choose carefully.

We often talk instore about the perfect fit. What we’re looking for, how it should feel, and how to overcome any niggly foot problems you may be having. 

So, we asked Lauren, owner of Petit Barcelona, to sit down and answer a few questions that we’re asked regularly. Questions around fit, leathers and care of our sandals. 

How do I find my size?

The first thing you need to consider when buying a pair of Spanish sandals is the length of your foot. The length, not the width, of your foot will determine your size. We recommend you go with your standard size.

Narrow Fit - shop the standard fit collection and choose your standard size. If you are between sizes, go down a size. The best leathers for a narrow fit and thin achilles is to choose the thicker Nubuck leathers which will provide more support. 

Standard Fitshop the standard fit collection and choose your standard size. All of the leathers in the range will suit your feet.

Slightly Wide Fit - shop the standard fit collection and choose a leather that will give and mould to your foot shape - suede's and box calf leathers. It is also recommended that you try the New Wide Fit Collection as these will also provide the width you need. 

Wide "D" Fit - shop the NEW Wide Fit Collection if your feet are traditionally wider than standard (see further information below). Available in a selection of Flat Avarcas and Platform Avarcas - Shop here. Stick with your standard size as we have made the width slightly larger to accommodate the extra width room you require.

Love our shoes but find that the width isn’t wide enough? Then our NEW Wide Fit Collection is for you. 

Introducing our new Collection of Flat Avarcas and Platform Avarcas in a wider “D’” fitting size. Our first drop comes in our best selling Almond Nubuck, Black Suede and Metallic Braided Champagne Box Calf in both Flats and Platforms. 

How does the Wide Fit Collection work?

Our Wide Fit Collection is essentially the same standard fit length, but the width is wider than your standard fit. 

If you are normally a size 38 in length but a wide fit, most of the time you would have sized up to a 39 to accommodate the extra width needed. By going up a size, it often left you with a little too much room at the back of the shoes.

My shoes have arrived and are feeling very snug, is this ok?

It sure is! We want them to feel a little snug across the front of your foot! This is the part that will soften and mould to your foot with wear.

If your feet are within the stitching on the insole of the shoe you have the right size. Long toes may peep through the front of the shoe, others may not. This is a normal variance.

If the shoe feels a little snug but you’re not experiencing actual pain, you have the right size. 

If your shoes are too tight across the top of your feet, or your toes are pinching, then the NEW Wide Fit Collection of Flats and Platforms will be perfect for you.

The back straps are quite loose or won´t stay up. Is this the right fit?

Your back straps should sit firm on your heels. They will naturally fall to the widest part of your heel as they wear in. They will at first feel like they might fall off, but they won´t completely. If your straps are gaping, or sliding up and down as you walk, but your length is fine, then our shoes are not the right fit for your heel shape.  

Many people who can´t wear back straps normally, choose our Platform Avarcas or Wedge Espadrilles, as the incline of the shoe means that the back strap stays up higher than the Flat Avarcas. 


Should my toes be visible or not?

As all feet are different shapes, the length of your toes are too. Whether or not your toes are visible is not an indication that your shoes fit or not. We like to think that when you haven´t had a pedicure, our shoes hide a multitude of sins! 


I don’t think I have the right size. What should I do?

If your Spanish Avarcas are snug to the point of pain you may need to go up a size. If your foot is within the stitching but the back strap is falling, you may need to go down a size.
